The Schilf-Projekt
Schilf-Projekt (school aid project) is committed to enabling children to go to school regardless of their origin. Even if it is difficult to imagine in Germany, there are still many millions of children worldwide who cannot go to school.
The Schilf-Projekt was originally started by a group of students. The project started years ago in Indonesia when these students were volunteering on site and building a close relationship with the school. This school was very important to them, so they wanted to support and promote it.
As a result of great demand and social necessity, it was decided at the beginning of 2019 to found a registered association from a pure project. This founding meeting took place on May 11th, 2019.
Our association consists exclusively of honorary members. Through this structure, minus any transfer costs and administrative costs, 97% of the donations go directly to our projects. Here you can find out more about the division of donations.

Our commitment
Our association is committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their origin, are able to go to school.
We have already achieved great success with various support measures, e.g. in the placement of volunteers and in collecting donations for the school expansion and school materials.
